Ron’s parents – Ron’s dad, Don, passed away the end of April (29th). Ron and David just returned from Arizona 5 days before after being there to help with the house on Don and Nancy’s ranch. Ron’s family felt Nancy should not stay there alone (it’s off the grid), so we moved her in with us. She is adjusting well and making friends at church and in our neighborhood. Once we sell the ranch we plan to buy a home, close by, so that she will have her own space

Adventures Part 1 – Ron and Cathy took a much-needed break the end of February to Las Vegas and had a fabulous trip despite the snowy roads. Ron and David were in Arizona April 20-24 working on the house. Ron headed back to AZ May 1 after his dad’s passing. Bryce, David, Tiffany and Cathy were able to attend Don’s funeral service May 6th. Ron stayed another week with his mom before packing the essentials and brought Nancy back to live with us. Ron and David returned June 2 to pack a 26’ U-Haul and small trailer to bring back.

Dinners (Family) – It has become a wonderful tradition to have family dinners once a month at our home. We love having the local family come over so we can spend time together making awesome memories. Occasionally, we even have an extra one when out of town family are here

Adventures Part 2 – Ron, Cathy, Nancy, Bryce, David, Heidi, Emigin, Everlee & Jackson were able to go to Cathy’s parents, Clive & Shirley Grimmett’s 60th Anniversary celebration (reunion) the middle of August. Where we also celebrated Clive’s 80th birthday (October). We had a wonderful time. Ron and Cathy spent a week, the end of August in Dickinson, ND, visiting the Thornton’s, especially Samuel. Sad to leave. Cathy spent a week with her parents the end of September. Ron and Nancy spent two weeks, the beginning of October, in AZ working on several tasks and getting the property ready for sale. They brought home a small trailer with more of Nancy’s belongings. Ron and Cathy spent a week in November with the Burtons, in Tennessee, meeting and loving on our newest granddaughter, Raylee. Once again, it was hard to leave.

Beading (Wood Badge) – Cathy finished her five Wood Badge tickets and received her Wood Badge Beads during a ceremony at Roundtable in September. Her critter is an Eagle and since Ron’s dad was an Eagle too, Ron presented her with his beads. Ron also presented her with one of his neckerchiefs. It was a special event for Cathy.
